Les frais accessoires au Québec: une question d’ajustements, selon Barrette
«Nous sommes dans une période de blitz d’ajustements avec tous ceux qui sont impliqués», a expliqué le ministre de la Santé au sujet du dossier de l'abolition des frais accessoires. Rémunération des médecins: l’IRIS appelle au salariat dans les établissements publics
Selon l’IRIS, une des solutions pour préserver la pérennité du système de santé est de réduire la rémunération des médecins afin qu’elle ne représente pas plus de trois ou quatre fois celle des autres travailleurs. Cela permettrait à l’État de récupérer entre 4,3 et 5 milliards $ qu’il serait alors possible d’utiliser pour améliorer les soins et l’accès aux soins. - 17/01/2017

De plus en plus de médecins québécois facturent désormais plus d'un million de dollars annuellement. Leur nombre a été multiplié par huit depuis quelques années, selon les chiffres issus des plus récentes données de la Régie de l’assurance-maladie du Québec.
